アロイジエ・ステピナツ

福者アロイジエ・ヴィクトル・ステピナツ (Alojzije Viktor Stepinac、1898年5月8日 - 1960年2月10日)は、クロアチアのカトリック教会高位聖職者。1937年から1960年まで、首都ザグレブのザグレブ大司教を務めた。1946年、ユーゴスラビア内外で世論を二分した評決において、ベオグラードの最高法廷はステピナツをウスタシャ政権へ協力した罪、そして正教会信徒のセルビア人をカトリックに強制改宗させるのを許可したことへの共謀罪で有罪とした。彼は16年の懲役を宣告されたが、5年後に釈放され、故郷クラシッチへ軟禁された。
1952年、ローマ教皇ピウス12世は彼を枢機卿に任命した。ステピナツは多血症患者であり、1960年、その病からくる血栓症で死亡した。61歳没。1998年、教皇ヨハネ・パウロ2世はステピナツを殉教者と宣言して列福し、再び世論を二分することとなった。
